Training and other programmes

Workshop Trainers of Trainers :

  • Two Trainers of Trainers programme on Care and Support attended by one board member.
  • One Trainers of Trainers programme on Prevention of STI/HIV/AIDS with respect to MSM was successfully attended by two members of Udaan.

Meetings/workshops facilitated :

  • Mr. Vijay Nair, Chairman of Udaan facilitated the first All India MSM-PLHA Conference conducted by Nipasha+ and INP+ in October 2001.

Training and other programmes by UDAAN :

  • Vocational Training of Screen Printing- UDAAN sponsored on of its members to this programme and this member has learnt about screen printing and similar classes will be conducted for others by this member and all printing and stationary work will also be carried out in-house now once all equipments required for this is in place.
  • UDAAN has role models who have been positive speakers at various national International conventions, meetings and conferences.
  • UDAAN representatives have been selected to represent the International treatment Preparedness Programme & have also been voted as a youth ambassador for positive living by the common wealth youth programme.
  • UDAAN is currently secretariat to the NGO forum of people concerned with HIV/AIDS in Mumbai.
  • UDAAN have actively conducted many advocacy programmes for access to care & Treatment and for Marginalized groups.
